Japan in Melbourne

Created for Typography for Print and Interactive Publication, this project addresses tourists’ narrow view of Japanese culture in Melbourne. I explored and photographed a wide range of venues to highlight their authenticity and diversity. The 22-page brochure, designed in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, aims to expand appreciation for Melbourne’s Japanese culture. I also developed a website version in XD, demonstrating digital skills and showcasing the rich experiences beyond typical expectations.

Created for Typography for Print and Interactive Publication at Swinburne Online, this project addresses tourists’ perceptions of Japanese culture in Melbourne. I researched and photographed diverse Japanese venues across the city to showcase their authenticity and variety. The result is a 22-page brochure, designed in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, broadening appreciation for Melbourne’s growing Japanese culture. To demonstrate digital versatility, I also adapted the brochure into a website using XD, highlighting the depth of Japanese experiences beyond sushi and hand rolls.
